Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 6, 2026.

What we collect

The addresses you search are stored to help us understand which areas people are interested in. If you submit feedback, we store your response and sentiment rating. Email is optional and only stored if you provide it.

Cookies

PostHog sets a cookie to distinguish unique visitors. We don't use cookies for advertising or sell your data to third parties.

What we don't collect

We don't require accounts or collect personal information by default. If you choose to leave feedback with an email, that email is stored solely to follow up on your feedback.

Data retention

Report data is cached for up to 7 days to improve load times. Searched addresses and feedback are stored indefinitely to help us improve the service.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we store. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Opting out

You can decline cookies when you first visit the site. If you change your mind, clear your browser's local storage and refresh — you'll see the prompt again.

Third-party links

Our reports include links to third-party sites like Zillow, GreatSchools, Reddit, Niche, Google, and CrimeGrade. Clicking these takes you to their sites — your use of those sites is governed by their own privacy policies.

Third-party services

We use the following services to provide our features:

  • Anthropic — AI-generated neighborhood descriptions and development changes (uses web search)
  • Google — address autocomplete, Street View, and place data
  • Google BigQuery — land use, nearby places, and transit data via Overture Maps
  • Mapbox — maps, geocoding, and neighborhood identification
  • OpenRouteService — travel time and walkability calculations

  • Serper — web search for local neighborhood context
  • Neon — database for report caching, address indexing, and feedback
  • Vercel — hosting and edge caching

Address data — including full addresses, coordinates, nearby place information, and lifestyle preferences — is sent to these services to generate your results.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
